Japanese Children's Day is celebrated in Japan annually on May 5, and this year Nicholson Catholic College students participated and learned more about Japanese culture.  Two international students from Japan shared a presentation about the National holiday in Japan and then their peers enjoyed a session on origami making and a sushi lunch.

Japanese Children's Day is a day set aside to respect children's personalities and to celebrate their happiness.

Each year Nicholson Catholic College in Belleville and Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School welcome international students from all over the world.  Throughout the year, both schools host events which provides students the opportunity to share their culture and background.
