St. Joseph Grand Opening Event

Students, staff, community partners, Board of Trustees, parish priests, architect and construction teams, and municipal dignitaries came together today in celebration of the re-opening of St. Joseph Catholic School.

Thank you to David DeSantis, Director of Education, Father Rod, Mayor Ellis, Colbourne and Kembel Architects and Jill Gardiner, Principal of St. Joseph Catholic School for bringing remarks to the celebration.

Students, staff, and guests enjoyed a ribbon cutting ceremony and cake following the remarks.

The Kindergarten to Grade 8 Catholic school broke ground in Spring of 2022. While the construction took place, St. Joseph Catholic School community was temporarily housed at Sir Winston Churchill Public School site.

The new addition welcomes space for 481 students, 20 learning studios, six learning commons, gathering stairs (known as the ‘heart’), various breakout spaces, two EarlyOn rooms, and licensed child care.

The EarlyON space and child care centres are now open.

Thank you to all guests who joined this memorable event in celebration of the beginning of a new chapter in faith, education, and community for St. Joseph Catholic school students, families, and community members.
