About the SHINE Club Program:

SHINE stands for Self-Esteem, Hope, Inclusion, Neighbourhood and Empowerment

The SHINE Club is a resiliency skill-based program, delivered by trained and licensed racialized BIPOC facilitators, which offers a secure and empowering environment for racialized BIPOC children to foster positive racial identity, self-love, community connections, and self-assurance.

The primary goal of the SHINE Club is to empower racialized BIPOC children by building their resiliency, offering them a place to rest, and helping them tackle the specific obstacles they encounter as a result of systemic racism and discrimination in a fun and safe environment.

The SHINE club program is a transformative and empowering space dedicated to fostering positive racial identity, self-love, community Connection, and confidence in racialized BIPOC children. Our mission at the SHINE Club is to cultivate a nurturing environment where children can embrace their unique identities and radiate their true potential.

We firmly believe that every child deserves to feel confident and proud of who they are, and we are dedicated to making that a reality of racialized BIPOPC children in our community.

Through engaging and enjoyable activities, our club equips children with the necessary tools to develop a positive self-image, forge meaningful connections with peers, and foster a strong sense of belonging. Our utmost priority is to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive space where children feel valued and cherished.
