A-Head Start for grade 9 students

August 30, 2016

IMG_4478.JPGWhile most students were enjoying their last week of summer break, over 275 grade 9 students were participating in the A-Head Start program at Regiopolis-Notre Dame Catholic High School.

The program not only refreshes math skills and develops literacy skills, it allows students to transition into secondary school more smoothly.

The program, from August 29-September 2, provides five hours of daily instruction and orientation activities.

On Tuesday, August 30 students received a free Kingston Transit Bus Pass. All grade 9 students had the opportunity to learn more about Kingston Transit Bus system with a ride on the city bus to learn about bus safety.

Thank you to RND Mathletes and senior students who also helped with the A-Head Start program.
