A childhood favourite for many, this story of love, hope and family was on stage from December 9th to 12th at Regiopolis-Notre Dame Catholic High School in Kingston. Plans for this production involving over 150 grades 9-12 students plus two elementary students began the second week of September. Students were responsible for crew, pit band, set design class, artists, stagehands, sound and lighting, production, costumes and make-up. The show is directed by Steve Powell and Music and Vocal Director, Hugh Johnston with the invaluable assistance of several staff members. This story of the lovable nanny, Mary Poppins and the many songs teach us that small gestures of kindness, rather than monetary transactions, fill our lives with joy, satisfaction and meaning. Every year, staff and students collaborate to make magic happen on the RND stage and this year was no exception.
