Provincial Consultations - Education Reform

October 24, 2018

Province of Ontario logoAs shared in the Deputy Minister's letter on September 28, the government launched the first phase of provincial consultation on education reform.

The online submission form seeks feedback from interested individuals, organizations, and groups on any of the consultation topics. We have received steady and ongoing feedback through the submission form and through fortheparents@ontario.ca, and are encouraged by the thoroughness of the content provided.

The next phase of the consultation will take place through scheduled Telephone Town Hall sessions across the province. I encourage you to share the following opportunity with your staff, students, school councils, local agencies, Indigenous partners and community members.

Ottawa

  • October 24: 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • October 30: 8:30 – 10:00 p.m. (French)
  • November 2: 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m

Eastern Ontario

  • October 30: 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
  • October 30: 8:30 – 10:00 p.m. (French)

  • November 22: 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m

Individuals should visit the Telephone Town Hall section of the consultation website.

If you have pre-registered by 4:00PM EST the day before, you will receive a phone call at the time of the session. If you are unable to pre-register, you will still be able to participate by dialing into the-toll free number posted in the registration section. We encourage anyone in your region to participate.
