Superintendent of Finance and Business Services Retires

Robert Koubsky, Superintendent of Business and Finance Services with the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board has announced his retirement after 27 years with the board.

Robert will be retiring effective September 7, 2018.

Robert was appointed as Superintendent of Business and Treasurer for the Hastings Prince Edward Roman Catholic Separate School Board in November 1994. Prior to this role, Robert had his own Public Chartered Accountant Office in Toronto.

With amalgamation of two Catholic school boards in 1998, Robert moved to the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board.

Over the last 27 years, Robert has been responsible for the Board's finances, including accounting, purchasing, payroll, audit, plant operations and transportation services.

"I have enjoyed my years at the Board and feel privileged to have had the opportunity to work in Catholic education," said Robert Koubsky. "Throughout my years, I have always felt supported by all staff, the senior team, Trustees and Directors."

"Bob is a dedicated leader in our Catholic school community. It has been a pleasure working with him over the years and he will be missed by many," said Jody DiRocco, Director of Education for the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board.

The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board wishes Bob and his wife Nancy all the best in retirement.

ALCDSB is pleased to welcome Kate Tindal, the new Superintendent of Finance and Business Services. Kate is currently the Director of Finance at Loyalist Township and will bring strong financial management, long range financial planning and strong leadership skills to the Board.

Kate will be joining ALCDSB on August 28, 2018.
