At St. Paul, we have always embodied our title as ' the small school that makes a big difference.’
When we decided to apply for this program we set out with the following goals:
In doing all of these, we then open the realm of possibility for students to pursue careers that they are truly passionate about. This is turn helps our local, and global communities.
The fit for this program at St. Paul is completely natural and logical. In speaking with students in the program we have come to see that students are already quite interested in the ‘major’ courses that we offer. Students love helping others – its one of the many things that our school does so well.
In its short existence at St. Paul, we have seen incredible success already, and are very optimistic about the impact it will have on our students and community. In our first year with this program, we had 72% of our SHSM enrolled students receive the 'Red Seal of Completion' on their Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

Also available to students at St. Paul, are the SHSM programs offered collectively through ALCDSB schools in the west - St. Paul, Nicholson, and St. Theresa. The practical / hands on components of these SHSM’s are offered through the high tech facility at Sir James Whitney in Belleville, Ontario.
